Most speech language pathologist are employed by hospitals and rehabilatation centers, while the rest are employed by long term care facilites such as nursing homes and transitional care centers. But only slight half of them work full time and 1/2 works part time.
According to SLP Associations, most certified slp receives paid vacations, paid sick leave, and health insurance benefits were offered by larger corporations such as general medicine hospitals, rehabilatation clinics, and childres and pediatric hospitals. The smaller corporations such the home healthcare and outpatient settings speech hearing clinics have lesser benefits.
Majority of the employers offers benefits to certified speech language pathologist if they work full time. Hospital settings were more likely to offer them benefits rather than the smaller employers such long term care, clinics, and rehab centers.
